Reading and Registering
The children's program is for those 2 - 11 years of age. If you are 11, you can choose between the children's and teens program.
Register for your program online with Beanstack...it just takes a couple minutes! It will be easy to log your reading and activities through this online tracking system.
You can also watch this introductory Beanstack video here.
Start recording your reading June 3. This year we are shooting for the stars with a community goal of 500,000 minutes of reading!
You will record your reading (10 points for 60 minutes), participation in library events (usually 5 points each), and activities (2 points). Earn points as you go and reach for the stars to see how many minutes you can read!
Read 600 minutes (it sounds like a lot, but is just 20 minutes for 30 days) or more as part of the reading program. Stop in the library for level one, two, three, and four prizes and, after earning 120 points you can put your name in a drawing for a chance at a grand prize! But, don't stop there...keep reading and logging online to see how many minutes you can read. Earn more points for additional chances at a grand prize!
July 26 is the deadline for reading and entering the grand prize drawings. August 2 is the last day to redeem your points for prizes!
