National Library Week Reading Challenge

Monday, April 1, 2019

Earn points and chances for prizes by reading, volunteering and participating in programs!

In recognition of National Library Week (NLW), April 7-13, 2019, the Independence Public Library is offering a Reading Challenge for ages 3 - 109. NLW is a national observance celebrating libraries across the country. The theme this year is “Libraries=Strong Communities.”

You can earn points by reading, attending or participating in programs, and volunteering . Register on the library's Beanstack program online, and it will be easy to log your reading and participation. Earn 10 points for every hour you read, 5 points for attending programs, and 10 points for entering the peeps contest, volunteering, or attending a Friends of the library meeting. Get incentives, enter a virtual drawing, and complete the program to have a chance at the grand prizes.

Call or email with any questions you have. You can stop in for help with creating an account and registering for Beanstack, or you can fill out the information on your own here.
